Packaging A YouTube Transcript for reading/highlighting (for my digital garden):

(Not every YouTube video has a transcript, but many do.)

My current process

• view transcript
• copy/paste whole page into BBEdit text-editor
• strip out top/bottom junk; move header info to top if necessary
• use regex to strip out all the timestamp-lines
• make a new google doc, paste in whole doc
• copy the title to the doc-title, style the in-body title, etc.
• sometimes I go through and every couple pages I try to find a conversation-break and insert a line-break, but that's usually not worth the effort....
• the Download/Export as epub
