Urban Village
Urban Design Framing: hoping to combine the best aspects of city and village
Some aspects:
- Pedestrian-friendly
- open/integrated Water Front (no highway separating it from the body of the city)
- Mixed Use (contrary to Zoning laws in many places)
- (see David Sucher's CityComforts rules, Alexander Patterns, New Urbanism?)
Some College Town-s pull this off.
Bigger version: Traditional City
