(2003-05-21) Scoble Fat Client Owa

Robert Scoble makes the case for desktop Fat Client use. Unfortunately his strawman browser Rich Client example is OutlookWebAccess. That's like saying that all operating systems suck, just because MsWindows does!

Oh, good, someone found the OddPost reference for me, I couldn't remember their name. Browser-based EMail client. Of course, it only works with MsIE v5, since DHTML hasn't been truly standardized enough (I wonder how much it breaks with Mozilla?).

• their reply: Actually, the DHTML that we use is somewhat non-standard and only available with MsIE 5 and higher for MsWindows. Sorry about this. Most browsers support some DHTML, but Microsoft has the extra implementation that allows us to have Drag And Drop and other nifty features.
