(2003-12-27) Pollard Radical Simplicity

Dave Pollard is recommending Jim Merkel's Radical Simplicity (ISBN:0865714738 ) for Society Design.

Here's a crude sheet for measuring your Ecological Footprint. I wish it showed the values that came up with the overall calculation for North America, so you could see the biggest resource sucks. (Eeek, the more you spend on education the greater your Footprint. Does this cause anyone to question the process or its implications ?)

Alex Steffen recommends the Conscious Consumer Marketplace focused on the 15 categories of products they consider most significant, plus their list of 9 actions and 3 categories (transport, food, and household) to focus on.
