(2004-12-21) Bought Ibook

I bought a MacOs X IBook to replace my 5-yr-old Sony Vaio Lap Top. Now you mac-heads have to tell me which apps to use - see my list of MsWindows apps. And how best to migrate data - cross-over EtherNet cable? Is Win98 file sharing going to work, or do I need to bring up an FTP server on one of the machines?

By the way, I was about to order through CDW, but decided to go with Small Retail and buy from the Digital Society store a couple blocks away. Costs me 10%+ extra, but...
