MetaWeb is launching FreeBase. Building the Semantic Web from a Folksonomy? Actually, it's Crowd Sourcing real content, each attribute of an object.

Could Wikipedia get close to this with MicroFormat-s? Or other approaches?

Update: FreeBase has an API.
