(2008-09-30) Bloomberg Third Term

Mike Bloomberg plans to seek an end to NYC Term Limits so he can run for a 3rd term as mayor. No less stupid an idea than when Rudy Giuliani wanted to do it.

Even Ron Lauder, who was key to getting Term Limits here, has said he's in favor of a 1-time exception to the law, to get us through the Credit Crisis 2008.

Oct21 update: he's nudging NGO-s that depend on his personal donations or city money to speak at public hearings supporting his move. That's ugly.

Oct24: the City Council gave it to him.
