(2009-07-21) Oakstone Seeking Design Improvements
Oakstone Publishing, a client of mine, is seeking design improvements to 2 sites:
-
!CMEInfo ( http://www.cmeinfo.com/ ) needs improvements in physical-product evaluation and purchasing flow.
-
!CMEOnly ( http://www.cmeonly.com/ ) needs improvements in physical-product evaluation and purchasing flow.
-
!CMEOnly ( http://www.cmeonly.com/ ) also needs improvements to the member-content-access for its Practical Reviews Online product.
We are not seeking a "pretty redesign", but rather to conform functions to best-practice with least-necessary disruption.
We are looking for a proposal in the $5-10k range, with a 1-month calendar turnaround time. Final deliverable will need to be standards-compliant HTML and CSS.
Along with your proposal, you must submit:
-
Examples of your design work, focusing on sites of similar functionality.
-
A list of usability issues from either of our sites based on 30min of browsing. (This is not a trick to get free work. We already have an internal list, which we will share with the person who takes on the work.)
-
Description of your process for iterating with Oakstone staff (in Birmingham Al - though I am in NYC), including media (e.g. BaseCamp, Skype video, etc.).
