(2009-07-21) Oakstone Seeking Design Improvements

Oakstone Publishing, a client of mine, is seeking design improvements to 2 sites:

  1. !CMEInfo ( http://www.cmeinfo.com/ ) needs improvements in physical-product evaluation and purchasing flow.

  2. !CMEOnly ( http://www.cmeonly.com/ ) needs improvements in physical-product evaluation and purchasing flow.

  3. !CMEOnly ( http://www.cmeonly.com/ ) also needs improvements to the member-content-access for its Practical Reviews Online product.

We are not seeking a "pretty redesign", but rather to conform functions to best-practice with least-necessary disruption.

We are looking for a proposal in the $5-10k range, with a 1-month calendar turnaround time. Final deliverable will need to be standards-compliant HTML and CSS.

Along with your proposal, you must submit:

  1. Examples of your design work, focusing on sites of similar functionality.

  2. A list of usability issues from either of our sites based on 30min of browsing. (This is not a trick to get free work. We already have an internal list, which we will share with the person who takes on the work.)

  3. Description of your process for iterating with Oakstone staff (in Birmingham Al - though I am in NYC), including media (e.g. BaseCamp, Skype video, etc.).
