(2012-07-11) Copying File To Sons Protected Phone
Number One Son has an old MyTouch Android phone. It has adult supervision functions turned on.
I'm trying to move files (some public-domain music and EBook-s) to it. Can't figure out how. Yet, since he has an EBook on it from me already, I must have succeeded some time in the past.
- alternative possibility: downloaded that one from source site via browser, rather than getting from me.
USB cable - his drive doesn't come up.
Blue Tooth - can pair to my MacBook Pro, but doing Send File from there gets no acceptance from MyTouch. Likewise can't Browse Device - "there was an error".
Email GMail attachment. Gets "Preview" button next to attachment but no Download.
Update: I don't think I got the notification-bar bit for mounting the USB-connected-computer, but it's possible I missed it, so will try cable again later.
- nope, no alert is there at all
Resorted to solving immediate "need" by downloading book from source site. No solution to general problem in hand...
- Jul13: posted to their support.
