I'm wary of teaching Computer Skills for their own sake, like how to use Ms Office. But computers are key to lots of Thinking Tools, Stimulating Learning Projects, etc.
TheKids, in Elementary School, are working with
at home they're using [Tux Paint] and some other Open Source art app
Ms Power Point (for presentations, mainly as a pasteboard and place for bullet slides).
