One could argue that Small Talk missed its chance as ubiquity because the development vendors charged obscene prices.
AlanKay has led the development of this Open Source (and scalable) version of Small Talk. The name came in anticipation of Alan's move from Apple to Disney.
Squeak EToys was inspired by LoGo , [PARC]-Small Talk, Hyper Card, and Star Logo. http://squeakland.org/school/HTML/essays/essays.html

would really like a Squeak version of Mitchel Resnick's Star Logo book - it doesn't look like that's happened, but here are some resources:
[Star Squeak] is a Squeak version of Mitchel Resnick's Star Logo, a simulation environment designed to explore massively parallel simulations with hundreds or thousands of turtles.
