- WikiWikiWeb:InterWiki was the original idea to have a single web-wide wiki , transparently distributed across many servers. That idea seems relatively dead/inactive.

says: Inter-wiki now refers to any technology that involves more than one wiki. , , document transfer, passport style () authentication, etc.
